The Ugandan I AM Family children’s choir, which performed in Redlands in 2013 and 2019, is returning to present a concert 3 p.m. Sunday at Redlands’ Trinity Episcopal Church.

The choir is part of I AM Family Ministries, a nonprofit based in Uganda, and the Redlands performance is part of the choir’s “Arise and Shine” tour.

I AM Family provides education and health care for about 300 children in Kampala, Uganda, according to a news release.

Redlands’ Trinity Episcopal began its support of the program in 2013 when that year’s touring choir stayed for a week, using the church campus as their school. Many Trinity Episcopal Church families were hosts for the group, sharing summer activities with them, according to the news release.

The group is led by Daniel Mugerwa and music director Victor Muhoozi.

The concert in Redlands will also feature a Ugandan craft fair, and there will be refreshments in the church garden following the performance.

A freewill offering will be taken.
