The city of Chino Hills invites residents and local groups to register to participate in the 32nd annual Chino Hills Boat Parade, taking place Dec. 13.
This year’s Boat Parade will begin at 7 p.m. and will follow a new route, beginning at City Center Drive and Shoppes Drive, according to a news release. The parade will then travel south down City Center Drive and south on Peyton Drive, then turn around at Eucalyptus Drive before heading back north on Peyton Drive.
Decorated boats and non-boat entries such as bands, equestrians and specialty vehicles, are welcome in the parade.
The registration packet, including general information, an application and required documents, is available at chinohills.org/BoatParade. Registration packets are also available at the Chino Hills Community Center, 14250 Peyton Drive, and in the City Hall Recreation Office at 14000 City Center Drive.
A completed registration packet must be submitted and approved for participation by Nov. 27. There is a mandatory meeting for parade participants at 7 p.m. Dec. 11 at the Chino Hills Police Department, 14077 Peyton Drive.
During the parade, announcers along the route will share information about parade entries. Spectator viewing will be allowed on City Center Drive, Shoppes Drive and Peyton Drive.
