Home tour: The La Verne Historical Society holds its annual Vintage Sale and Home Tour 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 16. The sale, at 2425 E St., La Verne, offers vintage keepsakes, stocking stuffers and homemade jams, jellies, marmalades and pickles. Docent-led tours of five historic homes and the 1930 Church of the Brethren and its “peace and carrots” garden cost $10 with tickets available at the Vintage Sale site.

Document shredding: The city of Chino Hills, in partnership with Waste Management, hosts a free shredding event 8 a.m.-noon in the overflow parking lot of The Shoppes at Chino Hills, 13920 City Center Drive.
