The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in finding a missing Waterford Township man who may be at risk of personal injury due to health issues.

Leo Christopher Johnson, 59, was reported missing late Monday afternoon by his son. Johnson reportedly wandered away from a home in the 1400 block of Spruce Drive in Commerce Township and is considered at-risk because he’s diabetic and could become disoriented from low blood sugar levels, the sheriff’s office said.

Johnson had reportedly been working on a sprinkler system at the Commerce home when he wandered away, the sheriff’s office said. When he went missing, Johnson was wearing black pants, a gray hooded sweatshirt and a green baseball cap.

The sheriff’s search and rescue unit, along with drones and tracking dogs, have looked for Johnson, the sheriff’s office said.

Anyone who may have seen Johnson or may know his whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 248-858-4950.
