Aliyah Boston scored a career-high 31 points and Kelsey Mitchell chipped in 26 points and five 3-pointers as the Indiana Fever beat the Storm 94-86 on Tuesday night in Seattle.

On Wednesday morning, the Fever waived veteran DeWanna Bonner, giving the 16-year veteran her unconditional release.

Bonner had been away from the team since June 12, missing five games for personal reasons. She averaged 7.1 points and 3.8 rebounds a game for the Fever since coming to the franchise as a free agent in February.

“Despite our shared goals and excitement heading into the season, I felt the fit did not work out and I appreciate the organization’s willingness to grant my request to move on, particularly at this point in my career,” Bonner said in part in a news release.

Bonner, 37, averaged double-figures scoring in each of her seasons in the WNBA and has been a full-time starter since 2012 when she played in Phoenix and Connecticut. She only started in three of the nine Indiana games she played in. She moved into third place on the league’s all-time scoring list in the season opener.

Indiana re-signed guard Aari McDonald, who had been stellar for the franchise when she was picked up on a hardship contract earlier this month. She averaged 11 points, 3.0 assists and 2.0 steals in her time with the team.

In Tuesday’s game, Lexie Hull added 15 points, and 11 rebounds, and Caitlin Clark had nine assists but scored just six points. She went 0 for 6 from 3-point range and 3 for 13 from the field for the Fever (7-7). Clark has converted just 1 of her last 23 3-point attempts.

Sky 97, Sparks 86: Kamilia Cardoso scored a career-high 27 points, and Angel Reese had 18 points and 17 rebounds for host Chicago (4-10).

The Sky, which took their first lead, 74-72, at 7:23 of the fourth quarter, outscored the Sparks 30-17 in the final period.

Azura Stevens had 21 points, and Kelsey Plum added 20 for the Sparks (4-11), who lost their fourth straight.

Mystics 68, Lynx 64: Shakira Austin scored 19 points and host Washington scored the game’s final six points in handing Minnesota — without All-Star Napheesa Collier — just its second loss of the season.

Austin’s putback tied the game at 64 with 32 seconds left. After a timeout, Sug Sutton scooped up a loose ball and raced in for the winning basket. Sonia Citron secured the win with two free throws with 6.4 seconds remaining.

Sutton scored 12 points for the Mystics (7-8) and rookie Kiki Iriafen added 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Wings 68, Dream 55: Arike Ogumbowale scored 21 points, and Paige Bueckers had 12 points for Dallas at Arlington, Texas.

Bueckers has reached double figures in all 12 games. Aziaha James added 11 points and Li Yueru had 10 with a career-high 15 rebounds for the Wings (4-12), who have won three of their last four games.

Ryne Howard had 23 points for Atlanta (10-5).
