Diamond Bar joined the Palomares League this season, and Bala guided the team to a 15-2 record and an unbeaten league championship. The Brahmas outscored their league foes by a combined score of 148-32 and won 8 of 10 matches by at least nine points. Diamond Bar finished 11th in the CIF-SS’s regular-season rankings (best among Inland teams) and qualified for the Division 1 playoffs. The Brahmas beat Claremont in the first round before falling to Arcadia in the quarterfinals.
