Noteworthy: The sophomore forward scored all three goals in the Panthers’ 3-0 victory over Glenn in the CIF Southern Section Division 7 championship game. It is the Panthers’ first championship since 2000. Pasadena Poly continues its season this week in the CIF Southern California Division V Regional playoffs.

Samantha Sachs

School: Glendora

Sport: Wrestling

Year: Senior

Noteworthy: Sachs became the first Glendora wrestler to win a state title when she pinned her opponent in 64 seconds in the 130-pound final in Bakersfield on Saturday. Sachs, an Iowa commit, finished the season 48-0. She had pins in four of her five matches at the state meet.
