Thank you for your continued support of music programs
letter to the editor

To the Editor:

Another year has past and another Tag Day has happened. On Saturday, May 13, approximately 60 students traversed our community asking for donations to support the activities of the music department. Even with the smaller number of kids involved and less routes covered, the community donated even more generously than in the past, giving over $5,000 to our music programs.

For the 10th year, we have made our Tag Day a friendly contest between neighborhoods. We will continue accepting donations up until Saturday, June 3. Tag Day donations can be mailed to Norton Music Boosters Tag Day 2017, PO Box 1335, Norton, Ohio 44203. You can also donate online via PayPal at nortonbands.org. Make sure you include your address so we can give the proper neighborhood credit for your donation.

The winning neighborhood will receive a parade down their streets, led by the Norton High School Marching Band and a cookout provided by the Norton Music Boosters. The following neighborhoods are the present leaders in the “Neighborhood Challenge:” In first place, Sherman, followed by Norton Acres, Flesher, Gardner, Nash Heights and Brentwood.

Once again, thank you to all of our Norton citizens for your continued support of our music programs and a special thank you to the above mentioned neighborhoods for your generosity.
