Sheetz remodel date up in the air; store still open
GRANGER – A spokesperson for the Sheetz chain of gas stations and convenience stores said the remodeling date for the location at state Routes 18 and 94 is still being ironed out.
The store will remain open for now, until further notice from Sheetz’s main office in Altoona, Pa.
The Post reported in June the store would be closing for two months starting July 15. The work, when it begins, is still estimated to take the same amount of time.
The remodel will include new indoor and outdoor dining areas, as well as facade improvements and modifications to some gas pumps.
Granger Township’s Board of Zoning Appeals approved the remodel at a meeting back in May.
The Sheetz family operates locations in five other states apart from Ohio and Pennsylvania.
