Mary Jane Cavey, 96, passed away on Feb. 9, 2017. She was born in Boston, Mass. on Jan. 29, 1921 to the late John Joseph and Mary Kathleen (Foley) Simons. Mary Jane honorably served her country in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII. After her military service, Mary Jane worked at Medina Hospital in the nursery and then at Sears Department Store in the credit department. She will be dearly missed by her family.

Mary Jane is survived by her sons, Martin (Sandy), James (Diana), Michael (Shelia), Lawrence (Jessica), John (Sherre) and Robert Cavey; daughter, Mary Jane Legan; 19 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence M. Cavey; son, Richard Cavey; grandson, John Cavey; and sister, Mary Kathleen McDermott.
