Mary Cecilia Franz, 87, of Medina, passed away Nov. 14, 2016. Mary was born on Oct. 27, 1929, in Chicago, Ill., to the late Michael and Honora (Burke) O’Loughlin. She retired from Medina Senior High after 17 years working in the cafeteria. She will be dearly missed and always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Mary is survived by her children, Phyllis McDonald, Daniel (Darlene) Franz, Jerry (Laura) Franz and Mary (Eric) Jensen; grandchildren, Elizabeth Bowman, Valerie Reynolds, Corinne, Monica and Patrick Van Deusen, Nolan and Claire Franz and Jack and Riley Jensen.

She is preceded in death by her son, Michael Franz; and her sisters, Eileen Moe and Kathleen Gorman.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Medina County, 5075 Windfall Road, Medina, OH 44256, or St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 606 E. Washington St., Medina, OH 44256.
