To the Editor:
Watching Tom Decker, my friend running for Clerk of Medina Municipal Court, has been an interesting journey for me. It hasn’t enthused me so much that I also want to get up at the crack of dawn and hand out material on Hinckley’s Buzzards’ Day, cope with rain turning into snow pellets or travel all around the county talking to citizens. However, I admire Tom’s desire to explain how he can make the Municipal Clerk’s Office run more efficiently while staying within budget.
One thing, then, about Tom Decker is his commitment. Tom – in whatever his career capacity – has always been dedicated to protecting and serving, and the public understands that when he speaks before groups, he has a concrete vision for how the Clerk’s Office should function. Law enforcement applauds his detailed approach because with Tom’s background in law enforcement and security, he knows what officers need to make life easier and keep paperwork accurate.
I’m impressed with Tom’s career in managing people and paper, being an expert in keeping security current and instilling in employees that they respectfully serve the public.
In conclusion, Tom Decker – hard worker, enthusiast, security expert and smart manager – is most of all a friend whom I trust to do what he says he can. I ask that you trust him, also, and vote for Tom for Municipal Court Clerk on May 2.
