What will Medina Hospital be discontinuing next?
Letter to the editor

To the Editor:

I could not believe my eyes when I read that Medina Hospital is planning on discontinuing to deliver babies after this summer (June or July of 2017). That is such an important aspect to the hospital. Not only delivering, but the prenatal care such as Lamaze classes. With Medina City being the size it is now, Medina County growing more and more, it just doesn't make any sense to not continue to have the options for mothers to go to what is the biggest hospital in Medina County in order to deliver their babies.

I personally still wish Medina Hospital was privately owned. I have not seen the best changes since it merged with the Cleveland Clinic. Let's keep personal care personal and not make the hospital just all about money.

Many times, especially older people, pick a community to live in where they know they will be close to a hospital or close to being able to get quick and good care.

What will the hospital be discontinuing next?
