Cambridge native Diana Lovett started Cissé Trading Co. three years ago and produces a line of baking and hot cocoa mixes made with organic, single-origin Fair Trade cocoa powder from a Dominican Republic farmers’ cooperative. Lovett worked in developing countries for years and established Cissé (pronounced see-say) as a socially responsible business to help these farmers. Now she’s added Super Thins, crunchy, chocolaty brownie cookies made with organic sugar, not too sweet, and cut into triangles ($4.99 for 4 ounces). She uses the brownie recipe from her mix, which produces goodies that taste homemade. The delicious snack comes generously topped with either dark chocolate chips, dried cherries and sea salt, coconut and cashews, or dried cranberries and pumpkins seeds. It’s a treat that helps sustain a community. Available at Stop & Shop locations.ANN TRIEGER KURLAND
