Lost in the uproar over Donald Trump’s response to the Khans’ attack on him at the Democratic National Convention is the fact that Hillary Clinton voted in favor of the Iraq war, for which the Khans’ son sacrificed his life. Shouldn’t they have recognized that Trump opposed the war that took their son?

They used their son’s sacrifice to score political points against Trump, who, if he had a brain-to-mouth filter, would have just shown sympathy for their loss and moved on. Instead, he took the bait, unable to recognize the overreaction to follow.

We are still left with a choice between someone who says stupid things and someone who lies about things. I’ll go with the one who lets it all hang out.
