Glad to hear that Woody Giessmann, founder and CEO of Right Turn, is on the mend after suffering a brain aneurysm. Giessmann, whose Arlington-based nonprofit uses creative expression to augment its treatment of addiction, posted a note on Facebook Tuesday letting friends and followers know he’s appreciated their support and well wishes. Giessmann, who was the drummer for the Del Fuegos before becoming a licensed alcohol and drug counselor, said in the note that he suffered the aneurysm at his office May 9 and was taken immediately to Mount Auburn Hospital and then to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where he underwent brain surgery. An extended period of hospitalization and physical therapy followed. “I will be unreachable during this next crucial time of rehabilitation,’’ he wrote. “I apologize for not attending the scheduled appearances, fundraisers, and performances. I need time to get well and I hope you know that I will make this up to you when I am better.’’
