A toast to green spaces at Green and White Ball

Nearly 300 guests attended the Friends of the Public Garden’s 20th annual Green and White Ball at the Taj Boston over the weekend, helping raise money to support the upkeep of the Boston Common, Public Garden, and Commonwealth Avenue Mall. The black-tie event — co-chaired by Fiona Benenson (left), Susan Boney, Tamar Frieze (right), Jackie McCabe, and Tiverton McClintock (center) — included cocktails and a meal, an auction, live entertainment, and a special tribute to Anne Brooke, the former Friends board chair who passed away last June. Over the past two decades, the Green & White Ball has raised more than $6 million to care for the parks.
