Clifton F. Arick
Clifton (Kip) F. Arick, 97, of Valley City, passed away peacefully at the Avenue of Medina Jan. 25 following a brief illness.
He was born in Elyria (as there was no Medina Hospital at that time) to the late Earl and Elinor (Schaeffer) Arick on Dec. 19, 1920. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Mary (Eisler) (and preceded in death by his first wife of 33 years Helen (Arnold); daughter, Donna, of Brunswick; daughter and son-in- law, Jo Ann and Michael H. Carpenter, of Gahanna, Ohio; three grandchildren, Allison (Nabeel), Rachel (Peter) and Michael, Jr. (Laura); five great-grandchildren; a sister, Joan Longshore of Naples, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews. He also was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Arick; and a sister, Janice Smith, both of Naples, Fla.
Special thanks to the loving, caring staffs of the Visiting Angels, The Avenue of Medina and Willowood Nursing Home of Brunswick. Special thanks also to Schooner’s teammate John Mulligan for his visits with Kip and the memories he shared.
