Three designers from Massachusetts are competing on Season 15 of “Project Runway.’’ Erin Robertson (top), a 29-year-old Cambridge resident with a degree from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and two Framingham State University grads — Nathalia JMag (middle), 23, and Cornelius Ortiz (bottom), 24 — are among the 16 contestants on the new season of the show, which premiered Sept. 15. All three surivived the first episode, and Robertson won the first challenge (by creating an outfit made of yellow wigs and yellow gumballs). Whoever makes it to the end of the season and wins it all will receive a prize package that includes $25,000 in cash, along with $100,000 to launch his or her business, a year’s worth of Sally Beauty products, a year’s worth of Mary Kay beauty products, professional makeup artist services for their debut fashion show, travel and hotel accomodations, a new Lexus IS luxury sedan, a sewing and crafting studio, and a fashion spread in Marie Claire magazine. Not a bad way to start a career, we must say. Let’s see if one of these local designers will make us proud. We’ll be rooting for them when the second episode of “Project Runway’’ airs on Lifetime Thursday (Sept. 22) at 9 p.m.
