


Good news about Marin people
Fundraiser: The fourth annual Kelly Brush Ride raised more than $150,000 for the Kelly Brush Foundation, a nonprofit helping people with spinal cord injuries live active lifestyles. Around 200 cyclists participated in the Mill Valley ride on Oct. 19.
Graduation: Michael Brinkman, of Mill Valley, received his master of science in computer science from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Recognition: Donna Garske, the recently retired executive director of the Center for Domestic Peace in San Rafael, was named Assembly District 12’s Woman of the Year by Assemblymember Damon Connolly (D-San Rafael).
Recognition: The Marin Agricultural Land Trust awarded $200,000 to five North Bay agricultural producers, including Gallagher North Bend Ranch in Point Reyes Station and Lanatti Ranch, Leger Ranch and Silva Family Dairy, all in Tomales, in honor of their commitment to climate-smart agriculture.
