The Habit Burger & Grill officially opened in Lake Elsinore on Wednesday.

The restaurant is at 18310 Collier Ave., near Central Avenue, also known as Highway 74. The space was previously occupied by Pieology.

Hours will be 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

Other locations in southwest Riverside County include Temecula, Murrieta, Menifee and Wildomar.

Founded in Santa Barbara in 1969, the chain is now based in Irvine. It is known for its char-grilled hamburgers, chicken sandwiches and sides such as tempura green beans and sweet potato fries.

Jason Triail, director of culinary innovation, recently refreshed the chain’s salad selection with new items such as Mango Miso Crunch and Harvest Chopped Salad, as well as a new recipe for its Santa Barbara Cobb.

Seasonal items include tempura avocado wedges and a frozen banana shake.

The chain is also introducing customizable bundles called Family CharBox, according to a news release. Priced at $35 and $40, they feed four and include such items as Charburgers with cheese, Double Chars, fries, onion rings and tempura green beans, as well as sauces.
