Noteworthy: Johnson helped the Tartans defeat San Dimas 2-0 in the CIF-SS Division 3 championship game to win the school’s first title since 2010. Johnson stopped a potential scoring opportunity for San Dimas in the fourth inning and threw 3 2/3 shutout innings with two strikeouts to finish the game. Johnson also pitched the Tartans to a 7-5 victory over Temecula Valley in the semifinals.
