LEOMINSTER >> Llewellyn Worldwide Astrology Author Sally Cragin is excited to present a series of monthly workshops starting in January to benefit Ahimsa Haven Animal Rescue.
All workshops will all be held at Dragon’s Leyr, located at 875 Merriam Ave., in the Twin City Plaza.
The first workshop, titled “What Does 2025 Have In Store?” will be held from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16.
“Learn about smooth sailing — and rough seas — depending on your sun sign,” said Cragin, who has written books for Llewellyn Worldwide for many years. “We’ll talk about the next 12 months, what you have planned, and how to figure out the best times to take action.”
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the next workshop titled “Love Signs — Relationship Astrology”, will be held from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12.
“This workshop will talk about what sun sign is perfect for you as a friend, lover, co-worker,” Cragin said. “We will learn about our personal astrology with a focus on the moon, Venus and Mars.”
An “Introduction to Tarot Card Reading” will be held from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 12.
“Enjoy this hands-on workshop in which we’ll talk about the suits, the numbering systems, and Major Arcana,” said Cragin. “We will explore your intuition with Rider-Waite, the first modern tarot deck.”
To usher in the season of spring, the last workshop in this series, titled “Spring to Life — How To Use The Phases of the Moon for Smart Decisions in Love, Work, and Family Life” will be held from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 17.
“The moon is full — things are a little crazy. The moon is new — everyone is a little lost,” Cragin said. “This workshop simplifies the patterns of the moon so that every attendee has a ‘plan of action’.”
Cragin writes the New and Full Moon Forecast for the “Moon Sign Book”. Her other Llewellyn Worldwide books include “The Astrological Elements” and “Astrology on the Cusp”. Both books have been sold overseas and translated into different languages.
The recommended donation for each workshop is $10, and gift certificates are available at Dragon’s Leyr.
Cragin explains that these workshops are a 100% fundraiser for a very special organization, Ahimsa Haven Animal Rescue in Winchendon.
“Ahimsa Haven Animal Rescue is instrumental in helping the cities of Fitchburg and Leominster find safe placements for stray, abandoned, or surrendered cats,” said Cragin. “I wanted to support their work and raise awareness by how much good they do for local animals in jeopardy.”
Cragin says these will be fun workshops for parents and teens, partners, and good friends. Light refreshments will be served and Reggie Cat, a registered therapy cat with Be PAWSitive Therapy Pets (who was adopted from Ahimsa Haven) will be present to visit with guests.
