Former cannabis operator must pay fine

The Michigan Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA) released a consent agreement Friday stating that the owner of 313 MI Ventures, LLC has agreed to pay a $6,000 fine for violations of the Michigan Marihuana Facilities Licensing Act.

The company was operating as The Clinic Cannabis Co. in Center Line in 2023, but closed that location its Lawrence Avenue on July 12 of that year. According to their website, The Clinic Cannabis Co. has operational locations in Detroit and Ypsilanti.

House of Dank cannabis store now occupies the location in Center Line.

According to legal documents released by the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA), The Clinic Cannabis Co. allowed customers to exceed the allowable daily purchase limit of 2.5 ounces of marijuana product.

The document states the infractions happened when the company was trying to clear its medical cannabis inventory that could not be transferred to an adult-use license before closing out its medical cannabis license. The CRA discovered 36 purchases of 15 different patient accounts from March 21 through April 15 of 2023 exceeding the allowable purchase limit of 2.5 ounces of marijuana product. Company officials admitted to mistakenly selling over the allowable purchase limit and agreed to pay the $6,000 fine.

The consent agreement was signed by Vinson Bahri, who is listed as an authorized representative of 313 MI Ventures, on Feb. 21. Bahri has 38 business entities listed with LARA including 8 Mile LLC at 4545 Eight Mile Road, the site of Hydro Depot indoor garden supply store.
