Traffic enforcement
I see where the council is considering traffic enforcement cameras around town. I think that’s the best idea they’ve had since pockets on your shorts. Good for them, because the police aren’t doing anything, so at least we can do something to slow people down on Main Street and the surrounding areas. Go, go, go.
TC price
I stand corrected. My comment about the Times-Call is, the amount of money is $487.13 was for The Denver Post. The Times-Call is $271.40 for 13 weeks. It’s half the size, and many of the articles are the same. I’m wondering who’s getting the paper for $79.70.
Proposition 79
People wonder why Prop 79 is being pushed, since Colorado already has legal abortion until day of birth as law. The simple answer is Prop 79 allows for tax dollars to be paying for the abortions. Is this what Colorado wants? Please vote no on Prop 79.
Christian candidates?
• The call about Kamala Harris being or not being a Christian is quite interesting. I wonder if they’ve considered whether the other candidate might claim to be a Christian. Of course, standing in front of a church with an upside-down Bible doesn’t qualify much. That’s just a cheap stunt.
• Those that have been calling in concerning their Christianity and Kamala Harris and Donald Trump both have it wrong, as both candidates are simply very horrible choices. However, Christians should vote for the party that most aligns with the teachings of the Bible. That is clearly not the Democratic Party, which supports gay marriage, abortion, sex changes, especially in young children, etc. How can anyone that’s a Christian vote for a party that supports these policies?
• This is in regard to the TC Line comment a few days ago about Kamala Harris not being a Christian. The First Amendment to the Constitution reads that Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion. It shouldn’t matter if Harris is Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, whatever as long as she is qualified for the job. Separation of church and state is at the foundation of this country. It’s the reason many immigrants came here to begin with. Furthermore, to think that Trump is in any way a Christian is laughable.
Embarrassed
I’ve been a born again Christian since I was 11 years old, 70 years ago. When I see or read stories about migrants struggling at our southern borders, I always imagine Jesus overlooking that scene, and it makes me feel so embarrassed to call myself a Christian.
