(Records through Monday)

1. SOUTH HILLS (16-2-1)

Previous: 1

Notable: The Huskies returned to Hacienda League play and posted lopsided victories over Walnut, Rowland and Los Altos, outscoring their opponents 40-7 in those games. They’re 6-0 in league and will likely go undefeated in league before going into the CIF Southern Section Division 1 playoffs.

2. LA MIRADA (14-7)

Previous: 3

Notable: The Matadores return from spring break to take on Gahr and Mayfair, but probably their most intriguing game this week is Saturday’s nonleague test against Norco. The Matadores need to sharpen themselves before the playoffs, and Norco will give them that opportunity.

3. LA SERNA (16-6)

Previous: 2

Notable: The Lancers looked almost invincible in the Del Rio League until last week. Rival Cal beat them 4-2, dropping them to 8-1 in league, and now they have just a one-game lead over the Condors. They get a good nonleague test Wednesday against Warren.

4. ST. PAUL (18-6)

Previous: 5

Notable: The Swordsmen are 9-1 in the Del Rey League and have a chance to clinch the title outright. They have a nonleague game against Sierra Vista to close out the regular-season schedule.

5. ARCADIA (15-4)

Previous: 4

Notable: The Apaches had their 13-game winning streak snapped with a 6-1 loss to Burroughs, which was also their first loss in the Pacific League. Their game against Crescenta Valley was postponed because of rain.

6. BONITA (15-7)

Previous: 6

Notable: The Bearcats won three Palomares League games last week to remain in the hunt for the league title with an 8-2 record. But to get it, they must take down the league’s first-place team Ayala. They face the Bulldogs at Ayala Tuesday and are home against them on Friday.

7. TEMPLE CITY (12-2)

Previous: 7

Notable: The big week has arrived for the Rams. They take on La Canada on Wednesday and Friday, which will likely decide the league title. Both teams are undefeated in league, but the edge goes to the Rams with the one-two punch of pitcher Kassandra Gewecke and catcher Samantha Womack.

8. CALIFORNIA (16-7-2)

Previous: Not ranked

Notable: The Condors might not win the Del Rio League title, but handing La Serna its first league loss, 4-2, was a big consolation prize. The Condors should win out the rest of their schedule and finish second heading into the playoffs.

9. SCHURR (16-3)

Previous: 10

Notable: The Spartans, ranked No. 3 in CIF-SS Division 4, are 6-0 in the Almont League. They host Keppel, which is 5-1 in league, on Tuesday. The Spartans can all but clinch the league title with a victory. When they met earlier in the season, the Spartans won 4-2.

10. DIAMOND RANCH (6-2)

Previous: 8

Notable: The Panthers lost their first league game to Charter Oak, 7-4, and have to travel to face Charter Oak again Tuesday. The Chargers are one of three Valle Vista League teams with two league losses, so if the Chargers can win again, it should be a wild finish for the league crown.
