Chicago Ridge

THEFT: Richard Jones, 19, of Worth, was arrested and accused of theft after stealing cash from the purses of two of his co-workers at a business in the 9600 block of South Ridgeland Avenue Dec. 13, police said.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Darious Woods, 28, of Chicago, was arrested and accused of domestic battery after a Dec. 13 incident in the 9700 block of Harlem Avenue, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Kywon Spraggins, 25, of Chicago, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license and failure to signal Dec. 17 in the 10900 block of Ridgeland Avenue, police said.

Homer Glen

AGGRAVATED SPEEDING: Dariusz Rodak, 48, of the 13900 block of Charleston Drive, Orland Park, was arrested and accused of aggravated speeding Dec. 3 at 143rd Street and South Bell Road, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Noah Alyafai, 19, of the 14700 block of South Healthcliff Road, Homer Glen, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license, no insurance, speeding and no seat belt Dec. 4 at South Bell Road and 159th Street, police said.

New Lenox

DUI ARREST: Matthew Mikos, 42, of the 900 block of Prairie Road, New Lenox, was arrested and accused of drunken driving Dec. 12 in the 900 block of Prairie Road, police said.

FLEEING POLICE: Kevin Prikler, 34, of the 900 block of South Bentley Road, New Lenox, was arrested and accused of drunken driving, driving on a revoked license and fleeing and eluding a peace officer Dec. 14 in the 2200 block of Foxwood Drive, police said.

WEAPONS ARREST: Edward Williams, 18, of the 15300 block of Briar Lane, Oak Forest, was arrested and accused of unlawful use of a weapon and possession of a controlled substance after a Dec. 15 stop at U.S. 6 and I-355, police said. Giovanni Ramirez, 22, of Joliet, was arrested and accused of driving without a valid license and no insurance following the stop.

RETAIL THEFT: Lorenzo Lopez-Sanchez, 22, of Joliet, was arrested and accused of retail theft after stealing $350 worth of merchandise from Walmart, 501 E. U.S. 30, on Dec. 16, police said.

Oak Forest

CAR BURGLARY: A woman told police someone stole her wallet and cellphone from her car while she was pumping gas outside of Food4Less, 5540 W. 159th St., on Dec. 14 around 8:30 a.m. The theft was captured on video surveillance.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE: Police said someone slashed the car tires of two cars parked in a driveway in the 15000 block of South Moorings Lane on Dec. 15.

THEFT: A man told police he discovered his white 2020 Cargomate trailer had been stolen from iStorage, 4325 Frontage Road, went he went to the unit on Dec. 16. A manager reviewed surveillance footage and discovered three unknown men with a U-Haul truck towed the trailed out of the lot on Nov. 10.

CAR BURGLARY: Police said someone smashed a car window and stole two cellphones from a work van parked outside of the Circle K gas station in the 5600 block of West 159th Street on Dec. 17, police said.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE: Police said someone threw a landscaping brick through the back window of a car parked in the 15200 block of La Robles on Dec. 17. The family told police they had also been targeted by vandals in previous incidents.

STOLEN CAR: A man in the 5100 block of Bellaire Avenue told police someone stole his 2011 Chevy Silverado Pickup truck when it was parked in his driveway in the 5100 block of Bellaire on Dec. 19. The victim told police the car was locked, and he was still in possession of the only set of keys.

Orland Park

WEAPONS ARREST: Jabrail Myles, 27, of Chicago, was arrested and accused of unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, two counts of manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance and four counts of possession of a controlled substance after being questioned by police Nov. 30 outside of Orland Square Mall, police said.

DUI ARREST: Wojeich Kos, 33, of the 7500 block of Southwest Highway, Worth, was arrested and accused of drunken driving and improper stopping on a roadway Dec. 2 in the 13900 block of 84th Avenue, police said.

WEAPONS ARREST: Anthony Hudson, 28, of Chicago, was arrested and accused of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and possession of marijuana with intent to deliver after being questioned by police in the parking lot of Orland Square Mall on Dec. 3, police said.

WEAPONS ARREST: Rashad Lockhart, 21, of the 8200 block of Justine Street, Chicago, was arrested and accused of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, resisting a peace officer and disobeying a stop sign Dec. 3 in the 15100 block of Orlan Brook Drive, police said. Manasseh Powell, 21, of Chicago, was arrested and accused of unlawful use of a weapon was also arrested and accused of resisting a peace officer.

DUI ARREST: Sean Hannan, 31, of the 13700 block of Lindsay Drive, Orland Park, was arrested and accused of drunken driving Dec. 4 after falling asleep in the drive-thru at White Castle, 15801 Harlem Ave., police said.

Palos Hills

DRUG ARREST: Austin Larson, 22, of Orland Park, was arrested and accused of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and aggravated speeding Dec. 6 in the 10300 block of 81st Avenue, police said.

GUN FOUND: A caller told police they were searching through garbage in the 9100 block of Del Prado Drive on Dec. 6 and found a bowling bag containing a firearm. Police are investigating.

PICTURE THEFT: Someone told police that a family picture was stolen from a funeral in the 11000 block of Southwest Highway on Dec. 7.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Twionneka McCollum, 22, of Dolton, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license and ticketed for other traffic offenses Dec. 7 in the 7900 block of Roberts Road, police said.

AGGRAVATED SPEEDING: Ivan Santiago-Magana, 32, of Bellwood, was arrested and accused of aggravated speeding and other traffic-related offenses Dec. 8 in the 8800 block of 95th Street, police said.

STOLEN CAR: A Boulder Court resident told police someone stole their car from their parking spot in front of their home on Dec. 9. The car had been left unlocked with the keys inside.

THEFT: A golf bag and a handcart were reported stolen from the 11200 block of Southwest Highway on Dec. 9.

SHELL FOUND: Police are investigating a spent shell casing that was discovered inside the locker room at Stagg High School in the 8000 block of Roberts Road on Dec. 10. School staff are working with police to investigate the incident,

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: William Lombardi, 42, of Palos Hills, was arrested and accused of two counts of disorderly conduct after a Dec. 10 incident in the 10500 block of Vicky Lane, police said.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE: Police said someone damaged a statue in the 8200 block of 111th Street Dec. 10.

Will County

HOME BURGLARY: A man told police he was scammed by a burglar posing as an employee of a tree service after the burglar approached him on Nov. 30 at his home on Cedar Road in New Lenox Township. The man told the victim that he was hired to do work near the rear of the victim’s property. The resident spent 10 minutes with the tree trimmer and then returned inside. He later discovered two purses were missing, along with cash, jewelry and a pocketknife, from inside his home. The burglar was described as a white man, about 5'11 and very thin. He was wearing reflective sunglasses and a medical mask with a stocking cap.

PEDESTRIANS STRUCK: Police said a Tinley Park man struck a 98-year-old women and a 26-year-old- woman after they walked out from behind a parked car in the 7500 block of West Lakeside Drive in Frankfort Township on Dec. 2. Kevin Marshall, 69, of the 7700 block of Greenway Boulevard, was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving without headlights. The women were treated at a hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.

CAR BURGLARY: Someone stole a 2014 Acura MDX from a driveway in the 200 block of West Circle Drive in New Lenox Township on Dec. 2. The victim’s purse was inside the car at the time of the theft. Her driver’s license and other personal items were later recovered in the middle of a street in Chicago.

NO LICENSE: Stacy Macak, 43, of the 200 block of East Circle Drive, New Lenox, was arrested and accused of driving without a valid license Dec. 4 in the 100 block of East Circle Drive, police said.

Homewood

NO LICENSE: Cheandton Turner, 21, 5300 block of Northwind Drive, Richton Park, was arrested and accused of driving without a valid license, speeding and expired registration Dec. 7 in the 900 block of 183rd Street, police said.

RETAIL THEFT: James Washington, 59, Chicago, was arrested and accused of retail theft Dec. 8 at Home Depot, 17845 Halsted St., after stealing merchandise selling for $1,605, police said.

RETAIL THEFT: Larhonda Chinn, 31, Lafayette, Indiana, was arrested and accused of retail theft Dec. 9 at Home Depot, 17845 Halsted St., after stealing merchandise selling for $912.85, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Carnell Griffin, 30, 3600 block of 176th Street, Country Club Hills, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license, driving without insurance and speeding Dec. 9 at 175th Street and Dixmoor Drive, police said.

Oak Lawn

SUSPENDED LICENSE: James D. Campbell Jr., 25, undisclosed block of Laflin Street, Calumet Park, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license, driving without insurance and expired registration Dec. 5 at 106th Street and Cicero Avenue, police said.

WARRANT SERVICE: Emanual Grigler, 28, Chicago, was taken into custody on two failure-to-appear warrants from undisclosed agencies during a Dec. 5 disturbance investigation at a gas station in the 9300 block of Cicero Avenue, police said.

RESISTING ARREST: Darnell J. Mitchell, 40, Chicago, was arrested and accused of resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and trespassing Dec. 5 at the Chicago-Oak Lawn Hilton, 9333 Cicero Ave., after screaming threats and attempting to start a fight, leaving when officers arrived and then returning five minutes later, police said.
