Lamphere Public Schools is placing an $85 million bond proposal on the May ballot.
Bond proposal projects would fall into three general categories: addressing facility needs, enhancing district safety and security and expanding student learning opportunities.
“Our focus is on creating safe, modern, and engaging spaces that support student learning and growth,” said Superintendent Dale Steen. “This bond proposal outlines improvements that will enhance our schools and provide updated facilities for our students and the community.”
The bond proposal would require an increase of 4.15 mills.
“The bond proposal was designed to support Lamphere schools’ commitment to maintaining a quality educational system and prioritizing the well-being of students, staff, and the community,” said Katie Cronk, assistant superintendent of business and finance.
District voters approved a three-mill sinking fund millage request for 10 years in 2017 that was estimated to generate $2 million for repairs and upgrades.
Lamphere has over 2,100 students and eight buildings in the district.
