FIRST TEAM

Alec Blair, OF, De La Salle, senior: The all-East Bay Athletic League first-team selection hit .429, drove in 24 runs and had three home runs. The Oklahoma commit helped De La Salle win North Coast Section and NorCal Division I titles.

Tommy Brown, C, Granada, senior: The Arizona State commit hit .301 and totaled 19 RBIs. Earned all-EBAL first-team honors.

Nick Chow, P, St. Francis, senior: An all-West Catholic Athletic League first-team selection. The Santa Clara University commit struck out 88 and had a 0.96 ERA in 73 innings.

Marcus Glanville, P/INF, Leigh, senior: Blossom Valley Athletic League Mt. Hamilton Division MVP hit .385 and had an OPS of 1.039. Went 8-1 with a 1.21 ERA.

Archer Horn, INF, St. Ignatius, junior: Earned all-WCAL first-team honors after hitting .352 and seven home runs. Committed to play at Stanford.

Brayden Jaksa, C, Irvington, senior: The Mission Valley Athletic League co-MVP slashed .433/.575/.783 and had an OPS of 1.358. Committed to play at the University of Oregon.

Ian Josephson, INF, Serra, senior: All-WCAL first-team selection and St. Mary’s commit hit .487 with 25 RBIs and seven home runs.

Brock Ketelsen, P/OF, Valley Christian, senior: Named the WCAL pitcher of the year after recording 90 strikeouts and posting a 1.23 ERA in 51 1/3 innings. The Stanford commit gave up just 23 hits and 10 runs against 207 batters.

Quinten Marsh, P/UTIL, Valley Christian, senior: The Stanford commit earned the WCAL MVP as he hit .505 with 19 extra-base hits and 30 RBIs. The Bay Area News Group player of the year also recorded 76 strikeouts and a 1.16 ERA in 54 1/3 innings.

Cameron Millar, P, Alhambra, senior: The Diablo Athletic League Foothill Division pitcher of the year had a 0.11 ERA and struck out 117 batters in 64 innings. The University of Arizona commit routinely threw pitches in the mid-90s.

Davis Minton, INF/P, Serra, senior: All-WCAL first-team selection and University of Chapman commit batted .336 with 25 RBIs for CCS Division I champs.

Vince Della Santina, OF/P, Clayton Valley, junior: The Cal commit hit .382, had 13 extra-base hits and stole 16 bases. Earned all-DAL Foothill Division first-team honors.

Take Sato-Kreis, P, Foothill, senior: The senior was an ace for a Foothill team that finished 21-8. He struck out 69 and had an ERA of 2.01.

Tyler Spangler, INF, De La Salle, junior: EBAL offensive player of the year helped lead the Spartans to NCS and NorCal Division I titles. In 33 games, the Stanford commit hit .430 with 40 RBIs and 10 home runs.

Vincent “Tino” Vasell, INF, College Park, senior: DAL Foothill Division MVP hit .318 with 13 RBIs and eight extra-base hits. The USF commit also had a fielding percentage of .912.

Ethan Williams, P, Los Gatos, junior: Finished with a 0.89 ERA and won all seven of his starts. Earned all-Santa Clara Valley Athletic League honors.

SECOND TEAM

Alonzo Alvarez, INF/C, Heritage, senior: University of Miami commit slashed .458/.577/.780 and drove in 14 runs. Earned all-Bay Valley Athletic League first-team honors.

Evan Bradshaw, INF, Serra, senior: All-WCAL first-team selection hit .393 and had 26 RBIs. Committed to play at the University of the Pacific.

Hayden Burton, INF/P, Oakland Tech, senior: Hit .405 with 27 RBIs and 10 extra-base hits. Helped lead Oakland Tech to an Oakland Section championship.

Antonio Castro, INF, De La Salle, senior: All-EBAL first-team selection set the De La Salle record for most RBIs in a season with 45. The Cal Poly commit slashed .426/.487/.772.

Jaxton Chao, INF/OF/P, Santa Clara, senior: The SCVAL El Camino Division MVP helped lead Santa Clara to the CCS Division IV championship, slashing .532/.614/.703.

Chayce Formosa, OF/P, Liberty, sophomore: Bay Valley 1Athletic League MVP hit .451 with 18 RBIs. Helped lead Liberty to a league title.

Jack Freehill, INF, Menlo School, junior: Hit .354 with 35 RBIs and two home runs. Named the Peninsula Athletic League Ocean Division co-player of the year, helping the Knights to CCS Division V and NorCal Division IV titles.

Rashad Hayes, INF, Bishop O’Dowd, senior: The Stanford commit was one of the best defensive infielders in the Bay Area. Earned all-West Alameda County Conference Foothill Division honors, batting .375.

Ethan Johnson, C/UTIL, The King’s Academy, senior: University of Missouri commit hit .377 with 30 RBIs and five home runs. Named PAL Bay Division player of the year.

Apolo Lapiz, P, Bellarmine, senior: Earned all-WCAL first-team honors after striking out 46 and posting a 1.24 ERA. Helped lead Bellarmine to a WCAL championship.

Matt Ludeman, P/INF, Los Gatos, senior: SCVAL De Anza Division first-team selection struck out 83 with a 1.35 ERA. Skyline College commit helped Los Gatos reach the NorCal Division I semifinals.

JJ Robinson, OF, Pittsburg, junior: Slashed .351/.427/.597 while recording an OPS of 1.026. The BYU commit earned all-BVAL honors.

Peyton Rowles, INF/P, Benicia, senior: San Jose State commit hit .469 with 10 RBIs and seven extra-base hits. Had a fielding percentage of .959 and received all-DAL Foothill Division first-team honors.

Owen Seidel, P/INF/OF, Castro Valley, senior: WACC Foothill Division player of the year struck out 65 and posted a 1.73 ERA in 48 2/3 innings. The Cal State Monterey Bay commit helped Castro Valley win its first league title in at least 20 years.

Matthew Tiendas, OF/P, Wilcox, senior: Tiendas, a Santa Clara University commit, was named the SCVAL Co-MVP. Helped lead Wilcox to the CCS Division II title game.

Coco Vonderhaar, OF, Palo Alto, senior: SCVAL co-MVP slashed .438/.556/.753 and had a 1.309 OPS. Finished with five home runs, 22 RBIs and 16 extra-base hits.

COACH OF THE YEAR

Pedro Martinez, Santa Clara: Under Martinez, Santa Clara had its best season in at least 20 years. In his third season as coach, he led the Bruins to SCVAL El Camino Division and CCS Division IV titles while also guiding Santa Clara to the NorCal Division IV title game.
