Nothing says summer like the colorful site of fireworks exploding against a dark, warm night.

Several Macomb County communities will host pyrotechnics or drone shows over the next few months this summer, starting in most cases just after dusk, around 9:45-10 p.m.

There will be periodic displays shot off following USPBL ballgames at Jimmy John’s Field on Auburn Road in downtown Utica, starting Friday night, May 23. Before the fireworks, the Westside Woolly Mammoths take on the Birmingham Bloomfield Beavers at 7:05 p.m.

Tickets are $24.99 and can be purchased at uspbl.com.

Center Line will mark the county’s first official public fireworks display as part of the city’s annual Independence Festival on May 31 from Memorial Field on Lawrence Avenue in the 10 Mile-Van Dyke area. The festival itself runs May 30-June 1.
