A Pontiac man was allegedly caught stealing children’s bedsheets and a coffeemaker from Target, where he was taken into custody recently.

As reported by the Bloomfield Township Police Department, a security officer at the Target store on Telegraph Road took Armoni Dashawn Daniel, 27, into custody on March 6 after Daniel allegedly failed to scan a set of Sonic twin bedsheets and a Ninja Dual Brew Pro coffeemaker while purchasing other items through self-checkout. Police were then called to the store, and officers arrested Daniel on suspicion of second-degree retail fraud.

The stolen merchandise is valued at $202.98, police said.

A search of cases listed online out of the Bloomfield Township jurisdiction — 48th District Court — doesn’t show any charges filed against Daniel in connection with the alleged incident, as of mid-afternoon on March 11.
