Boulder

• 28th Street improvements — Pearl to Iris: This project will improve multimodal travel along 28th Street from Pearl to Iris. Northbound 28th and Valmont Road RTD Stop No. 17992 serving 205 and BOLT routes will be temporarily relocated to just south of the Valmont intersection until Dec. 31.

• 19th Street and Fourmile Canyon Creek Underpass: Crews will begin replacing the bridge over Fourmile Canyon Creek and construct a bike/pedestrian underpass. Northbound 19th Street will be closed to all travel between Sumac and Upland. Vehicle/RTD service detour via Quince. Work is anticipated to end April 1, 2026.

• Pavement rehabilitation: Total roadway reconstruction requires one-lane traffic in each direction from Broadway to the entrance of Boulder Canyon. Closures will remain permanently in place for several weeks at a time. On the far west end of the project zone, there will be a brief period where the two-lane road is reduced to a single lane. Work will take place between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. through Aug. 29.

• Colo. 7 resurfacing: Resurfacing operations on Arapahoe Avenue will require westbound lanes to merge into a single lane. Work will take place from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. through Sept. 15.

• Arapahoe Avenue resurfacing: Resurfacing operations on Arapahoe Avenue will require westbound lanes to merge into a single lane and single lane traffic in each direction on eastbound Arapahoe Avenue between 38th Street and Foothills Parkway. The south intersection of Arapahoe Avenue and Marine Street will be closed for milling and paving operations through Monday. Work will take place from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. through Sept. 15.

Boulder County

• Sugarloaf Road culvert replacement at Betasso Road: Two culvert replacements on Sugarloaf Road at Betasso Road will require lane closures and the installation of a temporary three-way traffic signal, which will result in travel delays. Work is anticipated to last into November. Access to Betasso Preserve will be maintained.

• City of Boulder 63rd Street waterline replacement: Boulder is conducting a waterline replacement project that will have traffic impacts through February. Throughout the project, 63rd Street / Andrus Road / 62nd Street will be closed between Jay and Valmont and open to local and business access only. As the first phase winds down in August, both lanes of traffic on 63rd Street between Gunbarrel Avenue to the 63rd Street railroad crossing will shift to the east side of 63rd Street.

• Colo. 119 safety, mobility and bikeway construction: CDOT work on Colo. 119 / Diagonal Highway. This project is anticipated to be completed in spring 2027.

Erie

• WCR 7 water line improvements: The town of Erie is working on the WCR 7 water line improvements project. This project will install a new transmission water line to secure the future delivery of potable water, impacting about 2.7 miles of WCR 7 and requiring significant traffic changes. Expect full closures between WCR 12 and Colo. 52, and single-lane traffic south to Erie Parkway through mid-August.
