Two homes were damaged in a Superior fire that left no one injured Thursday night.
The homes, both on Vinca Place in southeast Superior, sustained “minimum $100,000” in damage apiece, according to Mountain View Fire Rescue spokesperson Rick Tillery.
Mountain View fire responded to three calls around 10:50 p.m. about a structure fire on Vinca Place and knocked the fire down in about 10 minutes upon arrival, according to a social media post by the department.
A family of four had to evacuate one of the homes, and the family that lived in the other house recently moved out, making the Vinca Place home a rental property.
“It’s certainly going to be a loss for both families for a while,” Tillery said, adding that he believes both homes to be repairable.
Mountain View fire crews remained on scene for several hours after the fire was put out, so they could monitor high winds overnight.
The Louisville Fire District, Lafayette Fire Department and Boulder County Sheriff’s Office also participated in the response.
The full extent of the damages has not been determined, and an investigation is ongoing.
