Drivers who use Van Dyke Avenue (M-53) in north Warren will be advised to pack their patience this week for a road project.

The road, which is usually congested in that area anyway, will have lane closures this week for road work, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT).

MDOT said Van Dyke between 13 Mile and 14 Mile roads will have lane closures Wednesday-Friday. Only one lane of traffic will be open in each direction from 7 a.m. through 5 p.m.

The lane closures are required for road crews to conduct bridge work, according to a traffic advisory.

Also, road work will result in two lanes open from 5 p.m. Friday through 5 p.m. Saturday.
