1. LA MIRADA (22-4)

The Matadores have left little doubt they’re the SGV’s top team. They have led the rankings all season and are fourth in the CIF Southern Section computer rankings. They play Mayfair today and with a victory they could lock up the fourth seed or better in the Division 1 playoffs.

2. CHARTER OAK (14-0)

The Chargers wrapped up the Valle Vista League title with a sweep of Covina. They’re No. 7 in the CIF-SS rankings. By winning their two games this week against West Covina, they would be the only undefeated team in the Division 1 playoffs.

3. LA HABRA (21-7)

The Highlanders finished the regular season strongly, beating Sunny Hills 6-0 to go undefeated in the Freeway League. The Highlanders will be a dangerous team in the Division 1 playoffs. They are No. 12 overall in the CIF-SS rankings.

4. WHITTIER CHRISTIAN (20-5)

With a chance to clinch the Olympic League title outright, the Heralds were hammered by Village Christian 14-1. Still, the Heralds can clinch at least a share of the league title with a victory today over Heritage Christian.

5. GANESHA (22-4-1)

The Giants clinched the Miramonte League title and won every league game by the mercy rule. They have one league game left, against Bassett today. They are likely headed for Division 2 in the CIF-SS playoffs.

6. CALIFORNIA (18-9)

The Condors beat La Serna 5-4 in eight innings to clinch the Del Rio League title. They lost in the CIF-SS Division 2 finals last year and are on track to be back in Division 2 again. However, they could sneak into Division 1, they’re near the cutline.

7. LOS ALTOS (18-8)

The Conquerors beat Colony (5-4) and San Dimas (12-2) and play Colony again Wednesday with a chance to go undefeated in the Hacienda League. They have had some questionable losses this season, but whenever they’ve been challenged, they have risen to the occasion.

8. BONITA (19-8)

The Bearcats have won six straight and are peaking at the right time. They finished second in the Palomares League, but will get a third shot at league champion Ayala in today’s league finale. Ayala won the first two meetings.

9. SCHURR (20-5-1)

The Spartans clinched the Almont League title with a 10-0 win over Keppel. They can go undefeated in league play with a victory today at San Gabriel. They began this week facing South Hills (Monday).

10. SOUTH EL MONTE (19-5)

The Eagles have won 12 straight and had a chance to finish undefeated in the Mission Valley League with a victory over Arroyo (Monday). Outfielder Jazmine Leyva, a UCLA commit, is having another sensational season. She is batting .672 with 13 home runs and 41 RBIs.
