1. ARCADIA (24-2)
The Apaches swept Crescenta Valley to finish undefeated in the Pacific League. Now they have a mammoth nonleague game today at No. 2 La Mirada, as both teams get ready for the CIF Southern Section Division 1 playoffs. The Apaches have another nonleague game Thursday at Bonita.

2. LA MIRADA (19-6)
The Matadores have had a week off since clinching the Gateway League title. With the CIF-SS playoffs pairings being announced May 12, they have scheduled a nonleague home game today against SGV No. 1 Arcadia.

3. BISHOP AMAT (21-6)
The Lancers beat La Salle in the final two games of their three-game series to clinch the Del Rey League title. They will likely join Arcadia and La Mirada as three SGV teams in Division 1 in the CIF-SS playoffs. The Lancers have a nonleague game this week against West Torrance.

4. SOUTH HILLS (19-6)
The Huskies swept Colony to clinch the Hacienda League title and have won nine straight. They have a strong pitching staff and they’re starting to consistently score runs. The Huskies, led by experienced coach Darren Murphy, will be a tough opponent in the playoffs.

5. GANESHA (18-3)
The Giants went 15-0 in the Miramonte League, but they haven’t played a competitive game since a 3-0 loss to Sultana on March 7. They played Arcadia on Feb. 28 and lost 3-1 in eight innings. They’re talented, but will the lack of tough league games have an impact in the playoffs?

6. MARANATHA (17-8-1)
The Minutemen’s 13-game winning streak ended with a 2-0 loss to Village Christian after they had already clinched the Olympic League title. They also split a doubleheader with Valencia, winning 9-7 and losing 3-2. They have a big test at Santa Margarita on Wednesday.

7. SAN MARINO (19-6)
The Titans pulled ahead of Monrovia with a sweep of Temple City to clinch the Rio Hondo League title. The Titans have one game left, against South Pasadena, before the playoffs start. Tomas Bilvado is one of the area’s best all-around players.

8. ALHAMBRA (19-5-1)
The Moors won two of three from Montebello to clinch the Almont League title for the first time since 2017. The Moors’ pitching staff has been the key along with timely hitting. Remember, they reached the CIF-SS Division 6 quarterfinals last year.

9. CALIFORNIA (19-7)
The Condors finished second in the Del Rio League, but beat league champion La Serna in two of three games and had a better overall record than the Lancers. They have nonleague games this week with Warren and Diamond Bar.

10. BONITA (16-10)
The Bearcats lost two of three to Ayala, but still finished second in the tough Palomares League with an 11-4 record. The Bearcats have a nonleague game at home Thursday against Arcadia. They played a tough regular-season schedule from start to finish.
