Noteworthy: The Marshall pitcher was dominant in a 1-0 victory over Santa Fe in the CIF-SS Division 6 quarterfinals. Thatcher threw a shutout with seven strikeouts and scattered six hits. He also scored the Eagles’ only run in the first inning. It was Thatcher’s second shutout of the playoffs.
