• Disaster Relief at Work (DRAW), a nonprofit based in Waterford Twp., is working to help those affected by Hurricane Helene. • Bowman Chevrolet to host its annual Dine Out event, Oct. 9. Bowman will donate 35% of in-person dinner sales from five participating Clarkston restaurants to support its scholarship program for Clarkston High School graduates and fund local community initiatives. • Volunteers are needed to help plant 25 new trees, 8:45 a.m.-noon, Oct. 12, at the Johnson Nature Center, 3325 Franklin Road, Bloomfield Hills. Volunteers are asked to wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing and bring a shovel, hard rake, and work gloves if they have them. The group will meet at 8:45 a.m. to sign in, enjoy refreshments, and watch a planting demonstration with ReLeaf Michigan’s tree experts, rain or shine, no planting experience is necessary.
