The Blue Angels flyover was a very nice tribute to health care and essential workers, but did the orchestrators think it wouldn’t gather the crowds we’re supposed to be avoiding? A real tribute to them would be putting into daily practice the small things we have been asked to do. The crowds looking overhead just didn’t get it and months into this it’s probably fair to say they just don’t care.

Shutting down dentist offices was a bad decision. I feel safer going to my dentist than going to the Jewel. Our dentist and his staff practice very safe practices even before COVID-19. Dental health is so important. Politicians are so clueless.

My family of four can live in our house together, drive in a car together, but if we wanted to go on a boat, only two at a time and take turns. Gov. Pritzker is not a serious person.

Let me get this straight. Apparently, at least according to the right wing, it’s not OK to protest by sitting or kneeling during the national anthem, but it’s OK to protest with guns, Confederate flags, storming government buildings and officials and using threatening signs and language. The Founding Fathers are certainly turning in their graves.

The virus is 80% a metro Chicago problem, unfortunately, and 10% a nursing home problem. The other parts of the state, which only have 10% of the problem for an overwhelmingly vast area, should be allowed to gradually reopen with restrictions. Do it before people lose their businesses and lose their life savings. Enough is enough. This could go on in metro Chicago for years. Everyone should not have to suffer.
