One of the most iconic rock bands of the 1980s and ‘90s is back.

Jane’s Addiction has released its first new song in 34 years with its original lineup, including Perry Farrell, Dave Navarro, Stephen Perkins, and Eric Avery. The track, “Imminent Redemption,” comes ahead of the group’s upcoming North American tour dates, their first trek with the classic lineup since 2010.

“It is different this time,” the band said in a statement. “To have everyone back together, releasing new music. It’s time. Welcome to the next chapter of Jane’s Addiction. ‘Imminent Redemption’ is only the beginning.”

Jane’s Addiction last released “The Great Escape Artist” in 2011, but the last music featuring Farrell, Navarro, Perkins and Avery all together was 1990’s “Ritual de lo Habitual.” The band has performed with several different lineups (including with Duff McKagan and Flea) over the years after a 1991 farewell tour that launched the famous Lollapalooza festival.

The group is best known for alternative rock hits like “Jane Says,” “Stop!” and the Grammy-nominated “Been Caught Stealing.” Farrell is also known for his work with Porno for Pyros; Navarro’s credits include Red Hot Chili Peppers and TV shows like “Ink Master”; Avery spent nearly two decades with Garbage; and Avery has performed with Hellride, The Panic Channel, Rage Against the Machine, Nine Inch Nails, and Infectious Grooves.

Jane’s Addiction begins its U.S. tour dates Aug. 9 in California. Tickets are available through Live Nation, VividSeats, and StubHub.
