A spur-of-the moment trip to a casino turned out to be worth more than $4 million for an Eastvale couple.

They hit the jackpot early Sunday at the Pechanga Resort Casino near Temecula.

The couple decided Saturday to visit the casino for an overnight trip, a casino news release states. After dinner, the wife urged her husband to play a bit longer before calling it a night.

He ended up winning $4,178,889.94, the release states.

The couple, whose names were not released, intend to keep working but will help their adult children pay off student loans and car payments, according to the release.

In 2017, the husband and wife hit a $17,000 slot machine jackpot at Pechanga, the release states.

One month ago to the date — on March 13 — another Pechanga guest hit a $1,232,300.19 jackpot, the release states.
