The Matadores finished a two-game sweep of Warren with a 23-4 victory. They’re 4-0 in the Gateway League. They will be playing next week in the Boras Classic. Senior Aiden Aguayo has three home runs, four doubles and 10 RBIs.

2. ARCADIA (9-0)

The Apaches finished a two-game sweep of Pasadena to improve to 4-0 in the Pacific League. They have a busy schedule this week, taking on Damien (Monday) followed by a league game against Hoover (Tuesday) and a doubleheader with Tesoro (Wednesday).

3. BISHOP AMAT (9-1)

The Lancers’ hot start continued with a 1-0 win over Serra and 2-1 victory over West Covina. The Lancers’ pitching staff has a 1.95 ERA over 68 innings. Justin Peinado has a 0.32 ERA in 21 innings with 23 strikeouts.

4. LA SALLE (7-2)

A big showdown against Bishop Amat last week was cancelled because of rain. The Lancers, who are 3-0 in the Del Rey League, did not play any games last week. They play a pair of games this week against St. Paul. Junior Travis Ochoa is batting .429.

5. MONROVIA (7-2)

The Wildcats did not play last week because of the rain. They started this week with a huge game at San Marino (Monday). The Wildcats beat San Marino 2-1 in a tournament game earlier this season.

The Titans had last week off and started this week with a showdown at home against Monrovia on Monday.

7. SOUTH HILLS (5-3)

The Huskies swung their bats well in an 11-1 nonleague victory over Colony. They have a Hacienda League showdown at home against San Dimas on Friday.

8. SAN DIMAS (5-3)

The Saints won their annual rivalry game with Bonita 5-1. They open Hacienda League play Friday at South Hills.

9. ST. PAUL (8-3)

The Swordsmen have won four straight and improved to 2-2 in the Del Rey League with wins over Paraclete and Serra. They have a chance to jump back into the league title race this week with two games against La Salle.

After a week off due to rain, the Condors have Del Rio League games this week against Santa Fe, El Rancho and La Serna. If they truly belong in the SGV Top 10, this is their chance to prove it.
