Detectives are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in a burned mobile home in Pomona on Tuesday night.

A woman in the same home was injured and hospitalized.

The fire damaged a second mobile home, Los Angeles County Fire Inspector Jonathan Torres said.

Authorities had not yet determined how the blaze started.

Firefighters went to the 1700 block of East Mission Boulevard around 10:25 p.m., and after the fire was extinguished the dead man was discovered inside the home, Pomona police Sgt. Blake Jensen said.

The medical examiner’s office had not yet publicly identified him.

Homicide detectives and arson investigators were called in.
