Well Sam, you sure had a lot to get off your chest. I'm glad to know you talked yourself into voting for the most dishonest candidate to run for president in the history of the U.S. That tells me you're one of the many sheep in this country that believes in the status quo in Washington that do nothing for “ We The People.” Then again, maybe you like paying higher taxes, big premiums for Obamacare, and the countless other wasteful programs they come up with. All the while, these politicians pay nothing for it. Just making millions off the special interest groups that in the end hurt everyday Americans. And as for manning up, well Sam I have no problem voting for a woman to be president. And for the record Sam, I am voting for a woman. I'm voting for Jill Stein because she's the only credible candidate.

The bottom line is this. If Hillary Clinton wins, Christians and gun owners lose. I truly hope that the “silent majority” will come out in droves and vote to help save their constitutional rights. There is no turning back.

Unable to muster up any enthusiasm for the upcoming November election that cannot be changed and thinking it's too bad it's not the April election, with a hopefulness of change.

Shame on McNally's Bar for being such poor sports about the Cubs being in the World Series. Is this poor sportsmanship and jealousy what we want our kids/grandkids to learn?

By voting to increase their mayor's salary by almost 300 percent, Orland Park's Village Board made a loud and clear statement of how little they think of the people they are supposed to represent, the taxpayers who will foot the bill for years to come, and another inflated public pension. Citizens of Orland Park, we feel your pain. Not all that long ago, Tinley's Board did the same thing for themselves, the village clerk, and our former mayor. We'll pay for it for many years to come.

Let's disabuse ourselves of the notion that there is any thing “moral” about raising the minimum wage. The only reason the Democrats and John Daley want to raise the minimum wage is to increase tax revenue. They believe that higher wages will result in higher income taxes and sales taxes for the state and Cook County. They also believe that this will increase payroll taxes. But these price increases will also cause consumers to buy less and, in fact, will reduce tax revenues. It will also drive small businesses, which have smaller margins than the large chains, into bankruptcy. They also ignore the fact that most retail jobs, except for fast food, already pay over $10 per hour. The increase will also result in fewer jobs for teenagers and other part-time workers. And, look at the fine print. In California, similar legislation exempted unionized businesses from the mandate. If politicians had any morals, they would reduce the terribly high sales tax. Mr. Daley and his family have made millions by feeding at the public trough. This whole minimum wage business is just a way to cover up years of fiscal mismanagement by the Daley family and their cronies. Welcome to national socialism, and the destruction of small business.
