Shaq talks about Texas music fest
When NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal launched his electronic music festival in Fort Worth last September, he didn’t anticipate a strong turnout. “I wanted to start off small,” he recently told The Dallas Morning News. “We only expected seven or eight thousand (people).” Instead, some 15,000 fans flocked to Shaq’s Bass All-Stars Festival, according to event organizers. Announced last week, the concert is returning to Fort Worth’s Panther Island Pavilion on Nov. 16. O’Neal will again perform as DJ Diesel, this time alongside 16 other acts in dubstep and bass music.
