


Full Circle Players, a Riverside-based nonprofit theater company, will present their third annual free Shakespeare in the Park shows in Riverside, Menifee and Perris beginning July 10.
This year’s lineup features “Romeo and Juliet,” with a preshow performance of “La Mujer Dormida,” based on an Aztec legend, and adapted and directed by Steve Llamas.
Wendi Johnson, Full Circle Players’ founding artistic director, directs “Romeo and Juliet,” with Ivan Valencia playing Romeo and Rachelle Claire as Juliet, according to a news release.
Performances are July 10-12 in the amphitheater at California Citrus State Historic Park, 9400 Dufferin Ave., Riverside; July 18 and 19 at the bandshell in Fairmount Park, 2601 Fairmount Blvd., Riverside; July 25 in the amphitheater at the Sun City Civic Association, 26850 Sun City Blvd., Menifee; and July 26 at the fire circle at Lake Perris State Recreation Area in Perris.
At each site, “La Mujer Dormida” begins at 7 p.m., followed by “Romeo and Juliet” at 7:30.
Those attending are welcome to bring picnics, blankets and chairs.
