The Lancers have continued their hot streak as they surrendered just one goal over three wins last week. They opened the Del Rey League with a 4-0 victory over St. Pius X-St. Matthias. They take on La Salle today followed by a showdown with Cathedral next week.

The Bulldogs haven’t played since a 5-0 win over California on Dec. 28. They were scheduled to open the Pacific League against Burbank on Wednesday, but the game was postponed due to the nearby fires.

The Lions remained undefeated by shutting out Bassett 1-0 to open Miramonte League play on Tuesday. Bishop Amat coach Steve Jimenez said Edgewood was the toughest area team his team has played. Edgewood tied Bishop Amat 0-0 in December.

The Bearcats dropped to 1-1 in the Palomares League with a 1-0 loss to Claremont on Tuesday. There are no days off in the tough Palomares League.

The Golden Knights snapped a four-game winless streak with a 5-0 rout of Chaminade in the Mission League.

The Wildcats have allowed only eight goals in 11 games and are unbeaten in their last six games, which includes a 2-0 nonleague win over Mountain View.

The Knights lead the Mission Valley League with a 4-0 record. They have a big game against South El Monte next week.

The Mustangs are finding out how tough life is in the Palomares League. They lost 5-1 at Ayala on Tuesday, which was their third straight setback. They’re 0-2 in league.

The Eagles had a good week, routing Baldwin Park 5-2 in a nonleague game and improving to 2-2 in the Mission Valley League with a 3-0 win over Marshall.

The Nobles lost to Baldwin Park 3-2 in the Montview League on Tuesday. The loss snapped their five-game unbeaten streak.
