The Tartans are 2-0 in the tough Palomares League. They followed a 2-0 win over Ayala with a 6-0 win over Diamond Bar.

5. LA CANADA (6-1-1)

The Spartans haven’t played since a 4-3 win over Crescenta Valley on Dec. 12. Their Rio Hondo League opener against San Marino on Wednesday was postponed because of the nearby fires.

The Dons lost their Del Rio League opener to La Serna, 2-1, in overtime Tuesday. Those two teams figure to battle for the league title.

The Mustangs struggled to generate offense in a 3-0 loss to Ayala that dropped them to 0-1-1 in the Palomares League.

The Lancers are unbeaten over their last three games, which includes a 3-1 victory over St. Lucy’s and a 1-0 win over La Salle in overtime in the Del Rey League.

The Regents were undefeated until a 3-1 loss to Bishop Amat on Jan. 2. They followed with an impressive 1-0 win over Diamond Ranch and a 4-0 win over San Gabriel.

The Saints are unbeaten over their last four games, which includes a victory over Centennial in penalty kicks in a tournament final.
