Noteworthy: Garner stepped up to lead the Spartans to the championship game of the prestigious St. John Bosco tournament after the team lost 7-foot senior Nate Garcia to a fractured knee. Garner was their leading scorer over the final three games of the tournament. In the championship game against St. John Bosco, which is ranked No. 1 in the state by Maxpreps, Garner had a team-high 13 points in a 46-37 loss.
