(Team records through Thursday)

1. LA SALLE (21-6)

The Lancers have been the SGV area’s top team from the start and are a virtual lock to be in the CIF-SS Division 1 playoffs when the pairings are announced today. They clinched a playoff spot by finishing third in the Del Rey League.

2. FLINTRIDGE PREP (19-1)

The Wolves went undefeated in the Prep League and head to the playoffs with their lone loss to La Salle back in December. They haven’t played a Division 1-type schedule, but they will likely find themselves in the Division 1 playoffs because of their record.

3. BONITA (22-6)

The Bearcats won their final three Palomares League games to finish in second place. The Bearcats are on the Division 1 and 2 bubble. If they fall to Division 2, they will be a team to watch.

4. DIAMOND BAR (13-6)

The Brahmas earned a playoff spot by winning three of their last four league games. They finished in third place in the Palomares League. Beating Glendora down the stretch was huge. They have a balanced squad that, if they land in the right division, could be a tough out.

5. KEPPEL (19-9)

The Aztecs beat Bell Gardens 67-21 to finish their 15th straight season with an undefeated Almont League title. The Aztecs have won 150 straight league games, which is the longest active league winning streak in the CIF-SS. The only knock on them is they have a 9-9 nonleague record.

6. SOUTH PASADENA (18-7)

A shocking 46-39 loss to La Cañada wound up forcing the Tigers to share the Rio Hondo League title with the Spartans. They have arguably the area’s best player in Kayla Boozer, but will it be enough in the playoffs?

7. GLENDORA (17-11)

The Tartans have a talented squad, but wound up finishing fourth in the tough Palomares League. Now they have to hope they will get an at-large berth to the playoffs. Losing four of their last five games was a brutal way to finish the regular season.

8. LA CANADA (21-6)

The Spartans won six straight to close the regular season, including a huge 46-39 victory over South Pasadena that allowed them to share the Rio Hondo League title with the Tigers. They shoot the ball extremely well.

9. SAN DIMAS (18-8)

The Saints went undefeated in the Hacienda League and won their fourth straight league title. Remember, this is a program that knocked off La Salle in the first round of the Division 1 playoffs last year. They just win.
